Providing nutritional security

	IAHS was the first to introduce and popularise F1 hybrid vegetables in India. · First F1 Tomato and Capsicum hybrids were released in 1973 and presently IAHS has several superior F1 hybrids in Bhendi, Brinjal, Cabbage, Capsicum, Cauliflower, Cucumber, Muskmelon, Tomato and Watermelon.
	IAHS also custom-produces F1 hybrid seeds of Capsicum, Cantaloupe, Tomato and Watermelon for foreign seed companies.
	Seeds are produced in both greenhouses and open fields.
	IAHS has significant market share in F1 hybrids. In addition to F1 hybrids, IAHS also supplies open pollinated seeds of superior varieties in all the major vegetables.
