The R&D division of Indo-American Hybrid Seeds is recognized by Department of Science and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The main emphasis is on breeding of high yielding, diseases and insect pests tolerant hybrids in vegetables and field crops.

IAHS R&D stations are located in ideal geographic locations such as Delhi and Bangalore for vegetable crops, Dharwad for cotton, Ranebennur for sunflower and Hyderabad for rice. The hybrids are tested at different agro-climatic zones in different seasons throughout India. The company has highly qualified scientists under whom young scientists are working. All the research stations have good infrastructure facilities and field laboratories. There is an excellent biotech laboratory and ISTA accredited seed testing laboratory at Bangalore to assist R&D work.
