Seed Quality Assurance


	IAHS adopts a total seed quality management involving strict supervision at all stages of production, seed processing and seed storage.
	Seed lots are sampled and tested at the ISTA accredited laboratory IN07.
	Seed laboratory of the IAHS is an ISO 25 certified and ISTA accredited laboratory IN07 since November 2002.
	Scope of accreditation includes sampling, purity, germination, TZ test, vigour test and moisture test in agricultural, vegetable and flower crops.
	ISTA accredited Seed laboratory IN07 is authorized to issue Orange International Seed Lot Certificate and Blue International Seed Sample Certificate for public and private sector organizations involved in international and domestic seed trade.
	IAHS has facilities to test hybridity by Electrophoresis and Iso-electric focusing (IEF).


	Seed laboratory IN07 undertakes R&D on seed storability, seed vigour and seed treatment.
	Offers training for Public and Private seed companies on seed quality assurance and seed testing procedures as per ISTA accreditation standards.
