Productive, Environment friendly hybrids
IAHS is actively involved in the development of aromatic, non-aromatic and salt tolerant hybrids in rice. The rice hybrids are highly productive and will help increase yields in salt affected areas also.
IAHS has developed cotton hybrids that are tolerant to sucking pests thereby reducing the need for repeated pesticide sprays.


Oil seeds

Improving Sunflower - A national priority

Keeping the national priorities in mind, IAHS initiated Sunflower improvement programme in 1988 and released the first two F1 hybrids in 1990 which have become very popular throughout India.

These two hybrids are high-yielding and have very good tolerance to both Downy Mildew and Rust diseases.

The products under field crops include Sunflower, Rice, Cotton, Canola and Green gram.
