Our achievements stand  testimony to the pioneering work done in all spheres of  commercial horticulture and floriculture.

Through the years
1965  IAHS founded by Dr. Manmohan Attavar.
1966 First Greenhouse constructed and production commenced.
1967 First batch of Fl Hybrid Flower seeds exported to USA. 
1973 First F1 hybrid Vegetables in India - Capsicum & Tomato released.
1988  Commercial Tissue Culture Lab established.
Oilseed Improvement Programme launched.
1989  The first ever YVMV tolerant Okra Hybrids (Varsha, Vijaya, Vishal) in India released.
1990  First two Fl Sunflower Hybrids released.
First Genetic Engineering Laboratory for Agriculture in private sector inaugurated.
1991 Export Award from APEDA. (1987, 1988, t990, 1991, 1992, 1996, 1997,1998)
1994 Cotton Hybrids, Sanju and Gauri released. 
1995 The first ever Aromatic Long Grain Rice Hybrid (Indam 100-001) released. 

"National Award for Excellence in R&D effort" instituted by the Department of Science and Industrial Research, Government of India.
1996 


The first ever indigenous Leaf Curl Virus tolerant Tomato Hybrids (Indam 9501, 9502, 9503 and 9504) released. 

 Visveshwaraiah Industrial Trade Centre Export Award. 
1997 INDAM CANOLA a "Double Zero" variety of rapeseed (B. napus) released.

Asia's largest climate controlled Green House complex for seed production of Capsicum & Tomato for Exports commissioned.
2000 ISTA membership granted to IAHS
2002 Accreditation of seed lab by ISTA

Moments of Pride
1990 Dr. Manmohan Attavar awarded an honorary Doctorate in Science.
1991 Dr. Manmohan Attavar receives Rajyotsava Award for his contribution to Horticulture.
1995 Dr. Manmohan Attavar receives the Dr. M. H. Marigowda National Award for outstanding contribution to Horticulture.

Dr. Manmohan Attavar receives the prestigious APEDA Award for "Development and Export Promotion of Commercial Floriculture and seeds for life time achievement".

Dr. Manmohan Attavar receives the Golden Jubilee International Award instituted by the International Chrysanthemum Society, California, USA.
1996 Dr. Manmohan Attavar elected to executive committee and as member of Vegetable Crops of Federation of International Seedsmen, Switzerland.
1998  The Republic Day Civilian Honour of "Padma Shri" by Govt. of lndia bestowed on Dr. Manmohan Attavar our Chairman & Managing Director.
2003 Dr. Manmohan Attavar receives ISF award.
2006 Honoured as one of the "Captains of the Industry " by the Govt. of Karnataka on the occasion of Suvarna Karnataka Celebrations.
